Podcasts made car rides and chart review a bit more eventful. While by themselves they won't provide a strong knowledge base, they expose you to language and concepts in various fields within ophthalmology, and I enjoyed gaining a bit of this perspective and excitement.
There are so many podcasts out there. The following are my favorites. Links are provided are for either GooglePlay or iTunes, my only two podcasting apps #minimalism, but are often available with a simple search for RSS, SoundCloud, Stitcher, TuneIn, Spotify, etc. if you use those.
As I See It - Google Play - an ophthalmology researcher with retinitis pigmentosa interviews scientists, physicians, athletes, vision rehabilitation specialists, and psychologists about a variety of topics related to low vision and blindness.
